Amazonas

Covering almost a fifth of Venezuela, the region of Amazonas is one of the biggest states in Venezuela, and it’s also one of the least populated. Better said; it’s an outdoor playground. You’ll find lush waters to explore via boat or canoe, luscious rainforests with clandestine swamps, and a breathtaking coastline with waterfalls. The Amazonas looks like a landscape from a Jurassic Park movie, except here you won’t encounter any dinosaurs. Instead, you’ll stumble across alligators, river dolphins, capybaras, howler monkeys, and anteaters. You might even stumble across a jaguar or puma. Since the region seldom has a population, you basically have the undisturbed natural region to yourself for exploration. So go, put on your hiking boots and cargo pants, and enjoy a hearty adventure through Venezuela's Amazonas.
