Bolívar

One of the 23 states that unite Venezuela, Bolivar is a massive region that covers 60,000 acres. As such, you’ll find plenty of scenic outdoor locations to enjoy camping trips in. Canaima National Park is one example. It’s home to some of the most dramatic landscapes you’ll find in South America, including lush rainforests, cloud forests, stoic plateau mountains, and the tallest waterfall in the world—Angel Falls. The latter attraction is a must. With a height of 3,200 feet, the waterfall plunges 2,300 down a plateau. On days where clouds cover the plateau’s summit, the waterfall literally looks like water falling from the heavens—hence the name. Prepare for an outdoor adventure like no other during your visit to Bolivar.
