Trujillo

A state in the northwestern parts of Venezuela, Trujillo is home to a number of interesting attractions. One of them is its capital city, Valera. Sitting between the Momboy and Motatan rivers, Valera is a city surrounded by natural landscapes. As such, stepping outside of Valera allows for hiking, biking, and swimming activities. The city is quite diverse; it’s home to Italian, Portuguese, Spanish, Colombian, and even Chinese communities. For those looking for specific outdoor locations, visit Dinira National Park. It’s home to a luscious waterfall and 100,000 acres of mountainous terrain great for hiking activities. The region is an ecotourist’s dream, being home to a total of five basins—Orinoco, Guanare, Motatan, and Lake Maracaibo. Visit the state of Trujillo for a wondrous time in the Andeans.
