Location + Surroundings

This private and romantic Australian glamping site is encompassed by a lush green forest in New South Wales. Known as the Eurobadalla “Nature Coast,” this area is recognized for its rich green environment and is set on 100 acres of natural forest. It connects to the Illawong Nature Reserve, where freshwater and tidal wetlands meet, home to a variety of wildlife including long-necked turtles, and a large population of birds. Part of Broulee village, this town is recognized for superb surfing beaches, as well as a handful of deserted sandy shores that only draw tourists during the busy seasons of Christmas and Easter.

Batemans Bay is also nearby, a popular holiday and fishing resort town and home to Batemans Marine Park which protects the habitat and provides sanctuary for whales, native birds, and other native wildlife. The Bower is close to Canberra and also a convenient stopping point for touring the Sydney Melbourne Coastal route.

The glamping site can arrange for luxury excursions, like surfing and yoga retreats, or mountain biking and kayak tours. The property also organizes whale watching trips on either a charter boat or kayak, as well as visits to local art galleries and expeditions.

There are over six miles of walking trails through the surrounding forest, and Illawong Nature Reserve leads hikers past native flora and fauna, and eventually to the beach.
