Scenic views
Located in the Snowy Mountains of New South Wales, Australia, this elegant lodge is perched atop the mountain peaks of Kosciuszko National Park, with sweeping views of deep valleys, towering slopes, and the glacial lake of Jindabyne. The lake features many water-sport activities, as well as an opportunity for glampers to spend a day fishing. Glampers can also fish at the lower Snowy and upper Murray rivers, which are also great for paddling. During the winter months, stunning slopes like Thredbo and Perisher draw skiers from all over the world as they are the highest in the country. The park is full of enchanting caves and various trails to hike or take a horseback ride on. Glampers can also take a dazzling bike ride in the summertime to view fields of wildflowers. For historical enrichment, glampers can learn about the area’s gold mining past by taking a tour at Kiandra.
Throughout the year are several events for glampers to participate in, like the Flowing Festival in February, in which the annual Dragon Boat Challenge takes place on the Jindabyne lake. This celebration includes dancing, live performances, market stalls as well as a climate change exposition. Also in February are the Downhill Mountain-bike Nationals, while in March is the is the Dalgety Show, in which glampers can see local farm animals, art, and photography. For musically-inclined glampers, the Thredbo Jazz festival in May is an opportunity to hear world-class jazz musicians perform, and to enjoy delicious food and wine.

Lake Jindabyne provides many activities for those who love to be in the water. Glampers can spend a day canoeing or kayaking along the shores of the lake, or when the wind is good, they can windsurf or take out a sailboat. The lake, as well as the several rivers and streams, provide ample trout populations for glampers to try their luck at fishing, and fishing supplies can be rented at several locations throughout the national park.
