The Space:
It sits in the quiet suburbs of Googong, Queanbeyan Region. Nearby Googong Dam with great picnic spots, and towns like Canberra, Queanbeyan, and Calwell. Set on the NE side of a gentle slope, looking down to a beautiful water course and deck area with leafy backdrops behind you and panoramic views across the property in front. A luxuriously comfortable stay with a kitchenette with cooking equipment and excellent bathroom facilities.

The bathroom follows ecologically sustainable principles, including a waterless cassette toilet with a removable waste-holding tank, hand basin, and shower (gas heated for hot showers). It focuses on satisfying people's needs with natural resources and processes to save water through using eco-friendly toilets to save the environment.

IMPORTANT NOTE: During the warmer months and on weekends, there will be mowing noises on the property (including neighboring properties) for the safety and hygiene of other guests. However, the host will make every effort to keep the noise level to a minimum when guests are present.

Guest Access:
Guests have full access to the tiny house and its surrounding areas, except for the main house and backyard. If you are interested, we also have pre-orders listed below by prior arrangement with the land host 24 hours before arrival.

- Breakfast hamper or charcuterie platters are $25 per hamper/platter
- We also offer a "raindrop treatment" session during your stay, a gentle Lakotan approach by using essential oils to harmonise the body and mind. Why not maximise your restful stay and treat yourself to one of these gorgeous essential oil infused sessions. $85 per guest.

Interaction with Guests:
Guests will enjoy your own private space but we are always happy to chat with you.

The Neighborhood:
It is located in the Googong area near Queanbeyan, where you can explore restaurants, hiking trails, and landmarks. If you want to add beach and surf to your itinerary, the South Coast is only 2 hours away.

Our local recommendations:

- Queanbeyan or Calwell are 12 mins away from larger grocery stores, restaurants, pubs, and cafes.

- 30 minutes will see you in the heart of Canberra with tons to see and do. A great option to fill your day and retreat back to your tiny after a day of exploring to rest and relax.

- Googong Dam foreshore is 10 mins away from the property and offers magical picnic opportunities, fishing, and walking trails. The local landmark, London Bridge, offers some beautiful walking trails and is well worth the visit.

- Googong is a mere 8 minutes away with a great IGA for grocery and deli items and a local liquor store, The local Gorman & Co. pub, also offers a cosy atmosphere with tasty meals.

And if snow season is your thing, 1.5 hours will see you skiing the slopes!

Getting Around:
By car:

- 3 hr drive from Sydney
- 8 min drive to the Googong township
- 12 min drive to Queanbeyan and 12 to Calwell for more major shopping needs.
- 35 min drive to the center of Canberra where there's an abundance of things to do. All are accessible by 2WD.

By public transport:

- Taxis/Uber is available as needed.
- We recommend guests travel by private vehicle or rent-a-car for easy access to nearby towns.

Other Things to Note:
- Free portable water
- Firewood provided for free
- No smoking allowed on the property
- No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed
- Expect mowing noise during the warmer months
- Telstra, Optus, Vodafone, 2degrees, & Spark have good signals
- We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge.
- We have 4 dogs (Sookie the pug, Gibbs the Pekingese, Ella the border doodle, and Bear the keeshond), coupled with pet rabbits, chickens, peacocks, and Lizzie the Eastern Grey Kangaroo and Merlin the wombat, who live beneath the main house deck.

Important note:

- Due to the nature of the property, abundant wildlife may be present on the property
- Keep in mind that BBQ grills and outdoor fire pits are not available during a total fire ban
- In order to maintain the cleanliness and functionality of our compost toilets a minimum additional cleaning fee is applied for stays of 5 nights or more. We appreciate your cooperation in ensuring a hygienic experience during your stay.
