Just under 3 hours from Sydney, it's a place where clear skies ignite stargazing, seasonal shifts create ever-changing sceneries, and fireflies might surprise you with a nighttime glow. This is a wild, open-air canvas for those who crave the beauty of nature.

The Space:
This is a hilltop retreat located in Minimbah, just 30 minutes from Forster with breathtaking views of the 3 Brothers Mountain range, Hallidays Point, and the Pacific Ocean. It’s a working cattle and equine training property, allowing you to bring your own horses for training. This tiny house is eco-conscious with off-grid power and a pet-friendly fenced area. Nearby attractions include Cape Hawke Lookout, Wallis Lake, The Artisan Farmer, One Mile Beach, and Barrington Tops National Park.

A comfortable, 139-square-foot accommodation is set in one of the best tiny house rentals and serene locations with abundant natural bushland, easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities.

The bathroom, however, follows ecologically sustainable principles, including an eco-friendly cassette toilet with a removable waste holding tank, hand basin, and shower (gas heated for hot showers). It focuses on satisfying people's needs with natural resources and processes to save water by using eco-friendly toilets to save the environment.

Guest Access:
Guests have access to the tiny home and its immediate surroundings, but please note the main residence, guest house, and sheds are off-limits as they are occupied or used for farm operations. For safety, the paddocks are also restricted since cattle may be present. You can enjoy about 1km of roadways for walking or relax under the trees at the equine center. If you’re unsure about access or have questions, feel free to ask Paul or Anke.

Interaction with Guests:
Guests will enjoy your own private space but we are always happy to chat with you.

The tiny house is located 30 minutes from Forster in the locality of Minimbah. The region is known for its gorgeous environments, from the sparkling waters of Wallis Lake to the expansive views from Cape Hawke Lookout.

The nearby coastal town of Forster features fresh seafood, famous Sydney rock oysters, and access to beaches like One Mile. This off-grid tiny house retreat provides a quiet base from which to explore this area.

Our local recommendations:

- The Artisan Farmer in Nabiac, NSW, offers a paddock-to-plate experience featuring a café, bakery, deli, and organic garden.
- Cape Hawke Lookout in Booti Booti National Park offers a short, scenic hike through regenerating rainforest, leading to a tower with panoramic views.
- Barrington Tops National Park is part of the World Heritage-listed Gondwana Rainforests. It offers diverse habitats and some of Australia's largest temperate rainforests.
- One Mile Beach is a favorite spot for surfers and families, with lifeguard patrols during holidays and weekends. A giant sandhill offers fun for sand sliding, while dolphins are often spotted in the waves.
- Wallis Lake is the heart of the Great Lakes region on the Barrington Coast. Famous for its clear waters, white sandy shores, fishing, and Sydney Rock Oysters, the lake is surrounded by Wallingat and Booti Booti National Parks.

Getting Around:
By car:
- From Sydney, it's a 3-hour drive covering 275 km. The nearest towns are 10 minutes away, about 8 km from the property.
- Accessible by 2WD.

By public transport:
- Car, bike, or horse are the only ways to reach the property. While you can call a taxi from Forster, availability can be limited and fares may be high.

By flight:
- You can fly into Taree Airport, which is about 45 minutes from the tiny house. From there, you’ll need to arrange private transport to reach the property.

Other Things to Note:
- Wifi is not available
- An additional $30 cleaning fee applies if you plan to bring your pet.
- We provide 15kg of firewood for free; any extra will be charged at $30 per 15kg bundle.
- Complimentary tea bags, a pod coffee machine, and milk are provided. Guests also have the option to purchase a breakfast pack, which we’ll supply for them to cook on their own.
- We also offer guests a dinner pack for an additional cost, featuring items for the grill. You can choose from meat-lovers, seafood, or vegetarian options.
- Guests who want to see the animals up close can request it from the owners, Paul and Anke
- You are welcome to to bring your own horses for training by calling Anke.

- No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed

- Guests are advised to bring portable power banks in case of low-power
- Guests are also advised to save energy to avoid running out of electricity
- Please expect limited connectivity as the tiny house is set in a rural locality
- Please charge your phone and electronics in advance in case of low-light days
- Please note that this is a PET-FRIENDLY property, and pet policies will be sent prior to arrival
- Please clean up after your pet’s shedding before checking out courtesy of other guests
- Pets are not allowed on beds and sofas and clean after your pet’s droppings
- Don’t forget to close the windows and lock doors when leaving the tiny house/ property
- Make sure to turn off the lights, air conditioning, and electronics (e.g., especially chargers)
- Mobile reception has good signals for Telstra; Weak signals for Optus and no signals for the rest
- The key safety rule is to avoid entering any livestock paddocks unless accompanied by one of the owners
- We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge
- We ask that you bring biodegradable products to ensure that greywater runoffs flow easily and do not harm the environment.

Important note:
- Keep in mind that BBQ grills and outdoor fire pits are not available during a total fire ban
- Due to the nature of the property, abundant wildlife may be present in the surrounding areas
- For stays of 5 nights or more, an additional cleaning fee will be collected to help maintain the cassette toilet and ensure a clean and fresh experience for all guests. We appreciate your understanding.
