Deluxe Canopy Cabins Overlooking the Coral Sea in Queensland
"Wow, what an amazing place & experience. Thanks to Paul, his staff and the amazing chef, we had a most wonderful stay at this very unique sanctuary. …"
The deluxe canopy cabins near the Coral Sea in Queensland are made of solid wood with ample screened and glass windows. They provide maximum protection from the elements, while still offering a close connection to the sights and sounds of the forest. These cabins are stylishly appointed with polished wooden floors, handmade natural timber furniture, and spectacular glass-walled bathrooms looking out high into the trees.
With a studio-style lounge and bedroom and a private furnished verandah, the canopy cabins offer superior accommodation in an entirely natural environment. They also offer tea and coffee facilities, minibars/fridges, lights, fans, linen, and towels.
There is also a restaurant and bar available in the main building with views overlooking the Coral Sea.
The property has a low impact philosophy so all of the buildings are designed and constructed to ensure that the vegetation and birdlife is disturbed as little as possible. To further minimize ongoing greenhouse gas emissions, air-conditioning is not necessary because the natural cooling effect of the rainforest has been incorporated into the design. Cross ventilation and ceiling fans cool the accommodations quite adequately.
Facilities include an outdoor swimming pool in the rainforest, a library, non-smoking rooms, an on-site restaurant, a bar/lounge, a tour desk, WiFi Internet, free parking, broadband internet access, a café, guest laundry, and a camp kitchen.

Mission Beach is abundant with nature which means glampers will never run out of places to see and activities. This spot is the closest mainland point to the Great Barrier Reef which means travel times are shorter than expected. There are two reef boats so the experience will be shared with only a select few. Near the property there are many deserted islands where there are opportunities to go sailing, sea kayaking, and explore. Most of these areas are protected national parks.
For those looking for an adventure, there is some of the best white water rafting in Australia close by. There are also opportunities to parachute over land on one of the most scenic coastlines in the world. The rainforest surrounding Mission Beach offer a plethora of sights and sounds to the walker with a diverse range of habitats and ecosystems to explore.
