There are three dwellings open for a farm stay accommodation. The hosts/owners have made use of all the outbuildings and old dwellings by bringing the decor into the rentals, creating beautiful country retreats

The homestead is about 10 minutes from Latrobe, 15 minutes from Devonport, and 20 minutes from Freers Beach and Hawley Beach. It is about one hour from Launceston and three hours from Hobart, where guests will find the nearest international airport.

Netflix is available in the main homestead.

Guests interested in fishing can learn to catch rainbow trout at the farm's dams, with lessons and tours available from the host. This activity does require booking and paying a fee. A canoe is also available for guests to take out onto the dam at their own risk. Guests traveling with horses will find bush trails for horseback riding near the farm. Guests can also book private yoga sessions in the farm's gardens. and a masseuse is available to visit the guests when required.

For nature walking, hiking, wildlife viewing, and birdwatching, guests can visit the many parks, reserves, and trails around Sassafras, such as Henry Orchid Somerset Reserve, Narawntapu National Park, the Stoodley Forest Walk, the Dooley's Hill Reserve Walks, and the Aub Luck Reserve.
