This charming homestead is located near Devonport, Tasmania, and can accommodate 12 guests for a peaceful getaway to a 60-acre working farm that dates back to the 1860s. It has six bedrooms and two full bathrooms. Guests will find a king-size bed in each of the first three bedrooms, a queen-size bed in the fourth bedroom, two single beds in the fifth bedroom, and two single beds in the sixth bedroom. Two of the bedrooms are on the bottom floor, while the other four bedrooms are on the upper floors. Guests will enjoy views of the surrounding farm from each of the bedroom's windows. Linens and towels are provided.

The farm stay's country kitchen features a huon pine timber finish and comes with a gas stove top, an electric oven, a microwave, a toaster, a kettle, a coffeemaker, a rice cooker, and a sandwich maker. Other amenities include Wi-Fi, a television, heating, a fireplace, ironing equipment, a crib, a high chair, and a washer and dryer.

Outside, guests will find parking right next to the homestead's front door, a barbecue grill, and landscaped gardens in which they are welcome to walk, play outdoor games, and pick vegetables.

Guests will enjoy access to barbecue facilities and sufficient parking for cars and a trailer. There is a shared BBQ outdoor kitchen area.

Guests traveling with horses can make use of the farm's holding yards, a secure tack area, a wash-down bay, riding and working areas, horse trailer parking, and nearby bush trails.

This property is located in Sassafras, Tasmania, where it is situated on a 60-acre farm that dates back to the mid-19th century. Around the bucolic grounds of the farm, guests will find extensive old fashion gardens, vegetable gardens, pastures, paddocks, stands of trees, trout dams, and farm animals, such as horses and chickens. There are three dwellings open for a farm stay accommodation. The hosts/owners have made use of all the outbuildings and old dwellings by bringing the decor into the rentals, creating beautiful country retreats

The homestead is about 10 minutes from Latrobe, 15 minutes from Devonport, and 20 minutes from Freers Beach and Hawley Beach. It is about one hour from Launceston and three hours from Hobart, where guests will find the nearest international airport.

Guest will find a variety of activity options right at the farm on which the cottage is located. For a taste of farm life, they can visit the farm's animals and pick their own vegetables. They can also go for a bush walk and farm tour with the host. For games, guests can play giant chess and croquet in the gardens along with indoor games supplied. Netflix is available in the main homestead.

Guests interested in fishing can learn to catch rainbow trout at the farm's dams, with lessons and tours available from the host. This activity does require booking and paying a fee. A canoe is also available for guests to take out onto the dam at their own risk. Guests traveling with horses will find bush trails for horseback riding near the farm. Guests can also book private yoga sessions in the farm's gardens. and a masseuse is available to visit the guests when required.

For nature walking, hiking, wildlife viewing, and birdwatching, guests can visit the many parks, reserves, and trails around Sassafras, such as Henry Orchid Somerset Reserve, Narawntapu National Park, the Stoodley Forest Walk, the Dooley's Hill Reserve Walks, and the Aub Luck Reserve.

For swimming and paddling, guests can visit Freers Beach, Hawley Beach, and the Foreshore Reserve. At the latter, guests will also find tracks for cycling.

For dining, shopping, wine tasting, and nightlife, guests will find a variety of shops, restaurants, cafes, vineyards, and bars in and around Latrobe and Devonport.
