This cottage is located in the countryside of Oldina, Tasmania, where it is situated on a peaceful farm surrounded by rolling hills and lush fields filled with grazing sheep and cows. On the farm, guests will find a pond in which they can fish for trout, watch a variety of waterfowl, and even spot a platypus. The farm is also home to chickens and has a garden planted with herbs, vegetables, fruits, and flowers.
Right next to the farm, guests will find trails winding through the surrounding woods, where they will also find a hut in which they can write, paint, meditate, or simply relax and listen to the songs of the many birds that call the area home, including black cockatoos, eagles, wrens, robins, honeyeaters, and parrots. While exploring the trails and farm, guests may encounter a variety of wildlife, such as wallabies, Tasmanian devils, echidnas, and quolls.
The cottage is about 15 minutes from Wynard, where guests will find a variety of shops, restaurants, and attractions such as Fossil Bluff, which is 275 million years old and contains a variety of prehistoric fossils. The white sand and clear water of the idyllic Boat Harbour Beach lie about 25 minutes to the northwest, near which guests will also find the coastal heathlands and seaside hills of Rocky Cape National Park. Devonport is about an hour to the east where the nearest international airport is located.
