Glampers can enjoy the countryside by hiking or cycling along the Murray to Mountains Rail Trail, spotting native bushland, farmland, and breathtaking mountain ranges. The trail also passes spots where glampers can order wine and handcrafted beer, or purchase some fantastic locally-grown produce. There are many wineries spread out throughout the area, and glampers should stop for a tour or a tasting. Mount Buffalo National Park is within hiking or biking distance as well and has over 50 miles of trails, where intrepid guests will find waterfalls beyond the trees, along with seasonal wildflowers. It is also a perfect destination for mountain climbing and hang-gliding. In the summer, the park's Lake Catani is an excellent spot for picnicking, canoeing, and kayaking.
In the winter, guests can head to the popular ski resorts at Mount Hotham and Falls Creek for some downhill skiing and snowboarding. There are also plenty of trails for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing and tobogganing on Mount Buffalo which is close by. Glampers can warm up in the nearby town of Bright, which has plenty of restaurants, shops, and a museum.
