Yarra Valley Tiny House for Eco-Friendly Glamping in Victoria
Escape the mundane hustle and bustle of urban life and spend your weekend getaways at the Little Blue Wren, Victoria. The ideal off-grid retreat nestled on permaculture farmland overlooking the "Valley of a Thousand Hills" of Yea, 90 kilometers from the CBD, with a seasonal creek and a nature reserve ideal for casual walks. A natural haven with stunning scenery, indigenous wildlife, and and over 12 acres of land to roam.
The Space:
Located northeast of Melbourne, “Dindi” area. Perfectly located close to the best of what Victoria has to offer, where you can rest and enjoy comfortable accommodation with easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities.
The bathroom follows ecologically sustainable principles, including a waterless eco-friendly compost toilet, hand basin, and shower (gas heated for hot showers). It focuses on satisfying people's needs with natural resources and processes to save water through using eco-friendly toilets to save the environment.
If you plan to spend your weekend getaways here, we advise that you bring your basic necessities such as food and water during your stay with us. Thank you!
IMPORTANT NOTE: Please note that this is an off-grid unit with limited power that is powered by solar energy. For guests' convenience, we recommend preserving electricity during the day and using it only (late in the afternoon or at night) when absolutely necessary to avoid power outages. Overall, minimal consumption is advised.
Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the tiny house and its 8-acre property, including the designated walkways for guests to explore. So, please check the map provided upon your arrival.
Guest will also have access to complimentary amenities such as our BBQ, indoor fireplace, and the first bucket of firewood provided on the guest's first night.
Interaction with Guests:
Guests will enjoy your own private space but we are always happy to chat with you.

- No WiFi

- Quiet hours 10 pm-7 am.
- Mobile reception is good.
- Pets are not allowed on the property.
- No smoking inside except in designated areas.
- No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed.
- Compost bins are provided to dispose of trash properly.
- Disposing of food scraps, however, have a different bin provided.
- Don’t forget to close windows and lock doors when leaving the tiny house.
- Make sure to turn off the lights and electronics (e.g., especially chargers).
Pre-orders
- Firewood for BBQ grill comes at an extra cost of $15 per (15 kg) bag.
- Additional firewood comes at an extra cost of $7 per bucket and $15 (15 kg) per bag.
- Mini kindling, however, costs $2.00 per kilo. You can bring your own firewood or purchase them at local service stations.
Safety guidelines
- Guests are restricted from walking in tall grasses and taking long drops into the creek.
- For guests' safety, please refrain from entering wildlife areas as snakes, wombats, echidnas, etc. often gather
- Guests are advised to wear long loose pants and closed-toe shoes such as sneakers and boots to avoid snake bites.
- Please stay within the permitted areas or areas that have been mowed, especially paddocks that may be calving or have bulls in place at the time. Kindly check map provided to see guest's accessibility within the property.
Important note:
- Keep an eye out for snakes as the property is located in bushland (or grassland) areas.
- Keep in mind that BBQ grills and outdoor fire pits are not available during the fire season.
- Dropping cigarette butts on dry grass can start a bushfire. Please put out your cigarettes properly in the marked bin.
- Due to the property's rural location, you may encounter inconveniences such as insects during your stay.
