This stunning waterfront cabin is located on a semi-private island in Georgian Bay near Sudbury, Ontario, and can accommodate 10 guests. There are five bedrooms and two bathrooms. The first bedroom has a queen-size bed, access to the deck, and an ensuite bathroom. The second bedroom also has a queen-size bed and access to the deck. There are six single beds (including bunk beds) spread across the other three bedrooms. Linens and towels are provided.
The fully equipped kitchen features a stove, a refrigerator, a microwave, and a dishwasher. Other amenities include a satellite TV with a DVD Player, a collection of CDs and DVDs, a stereo system, a selection of books and games, a fireplace and firewood, and ceiling fans. In the living room, guests will find comfortable sofas and armchairs orientated towards the lake, and the room has deck access. This beautiful room has many windows framing views of the bay and facing southeast for incredible sunrises and moonrises.
Outside on the deck, there is a grill and a table and chairs for al fresco dining with an incredible view of the bay.
The cottage along with its dock, rocks, beach, water, and island trails are entirely reserved for guests. Half of this 10-acre island belongs to the cottage and the other half is uninhabited. There is also a barbecue, a campfire pit, a gently sloping sandy beach, and 1,820 feet of shoreline. Parking, boat rental, and water taxis are available at Desmasdon's Marina. The cottage has a dock with enough space for two boats. The cottage is equipped with a canoe and a couple of kayaks for exploring the islands and waterways. There is excellent cell phone reception in the cottage, but guests are warned that there is no Wi-Fi. There is also a washer and dryer. All of the water in the cabin passes through two particulate filters, a carbon filter, and a UV sterilizer, and is safe to drink.

Pointe-Au-Baril has an ice rink and playground as well as many events throughout the year such as the Winter Whirl Carnival, and the Pickerel Dinner and Annual Lobster Fest. The town also has an island community center known as the Ojibway Club which hosts summertime events and has a restaurant, a grocery store, a gift shop and a gas docks services for all who visit. Guests may also want to visit Beans and Scoopsat in Desmasdon's Marina where there is wireless for a fee.
