This idyllic log cabin boasts an excellent location in Boyacá, Colombia, and provides the perfect setting for a weekend of Laguna de Tota camping. Lake Tota is the largest lake in Colombia and offers beautiful white sand beaches and access to plenty of outdoor recreation.

The various beaches around the lake include Tota Lagoon and Playa Blanca which is popular among tourists. Aquitania, located on the eastern side of the lake, is the major town, while the villages of Tota, Iza, and Cuítiva are nearby. Bogota is approximately four hours away.

This wonderful accommodation is nestled on Laguna de Tota and provides easy access to an array of outdoor recreation to suit any nature enthusiast. Lake Tota is the biggest lake in Colombia and home to over 145 bird species, of which several are threatened or endangered. The network of walking trails are great for bird watching and offer scenic vistas for budding photographers. Additionally, glampers can rent a boat, embark on trout fishing adventures, glide along the water on a kayak, and enjoy action-packed sports such as water skiing, kite-skiing, and wake-boarding.

There are several hiking trails from the town Sogamosa, which lead hikers to the 300-year-old town of Mongui. Here, glampers can admire the monastery built in the 18th century, the Basilica, the old town square, and the storied Calicanto bridge.
