Cahuasqui is called an Island in the Sky due to it being a flat mesa top surrounded by two rivers and mountains. The paramo or high Sierra grassland is located above and is home to the Andean condor. Cahuasqui is a small farming community with traditional values and a peacefulness that can be instantly felt. We still have plenty of fresh air, clean water, tranquility, and amazing community!
