Cahuasqui is a mesa plateau surrounded by two small rivers and mountains. Hence the name Island in the Sky. We have high Sierra grasslands or paramo located above the community which is home to the Andean condor, lakes, and a variety of unique flora and fauna. I am only a 15 minute walk from the center of Cahuasqui. Small shops and places to eat can be discovered in the community. We are a farming community that is very safe that keeps rural traditions alive.

The famous Chachimbiro hot springs are 30 minutes away. Amazing hikes with waterfalls can be done with local guides. A great town tour is also available to learn about this unique community.
