El Carmen

Those visiting the region of Santo Domingo should certainly consider stopping by the city of El Carmen. If you’re visiting Reserva Ecologica Los Ilinizas, you can’t go wrong with restocking in El Carmen. There are also plenty of to-dos in the town, including Las Minas Spa—a great pit stop before hiking the trails of Los Ilinizas. The spa even has a bar and a dance floor. El Carmen is surrounded by unique natural landscapes, including a jungle a cascade called, Cascada De Armadillo. The waterfall is surrounded by a ravine and vegetation, adding to its dramatic look. There’s also Spa “Tropical Island.” There are many groves worth checking out in this resort, and you’ll also find beaches and a river.
