Treat yourself to a stay in our mountain top, resort-like home!

This beautiful open 2-bedroom suite offers spectacular ocean, mountain & island views. A very unique feature is that there is exposed bedrock beneath the ocean-facing windows. The queen-size bed is very comfy. The kitchen features high-end IKEA cabinets and an extended walnut countertop. The concrete floors have wonderful radiant floor heating. We are on 10 acres with a scenic pond area for you to enjoy. This is a wonderful place for people seeking a quiet, healing place, surrounded by nature with a spectacular view of the ocean and mountains beyond. With its private entrance, ocean views, and beautiful exposed bedrock, it’s a favorite with our guests. It’s a large, open layout suite with windows on 3 sides, with two windows facing the ocean view. There is plenty of room to cook, eat, relax and sleep. The bathroom features a large shower. The living area features a leather love seat, an IKEA bentwood chair as well as a thick, plush carpet. There is a large desk and an oak dining table with 6 chairs. The well-equipped kitchen has 2 induction burners, microwave oven, toaster/convection oven, dishes, utensils, kettle, toaster, one bar size fridge with a small freezer, as well as a newly added full-size fridge for our long-term guests. The radiant floors provide a gentle, quiet heat. In the summer, the suite is lovely and cool. The second bedroom features a double bed, bookcase, and a desk. This room does NOT have an opening window, but with its glass door, it has lots of light and is perfect for guests to sleep in with the door ajar for airflow. If you are coming with a baby or young child and require any of our family amenities, please message ahead of time so that I can prepare the suite with everything that you require. Guests have access to our 10-acre property, including our small orchard and recreational pond area. Please be aware that this is rural land and there is wildlife around. Parent supervision is mandatory for children at all times and guests agree to take full responsibility when wandering the property and enjoying the pond area. Guests staying for a week or more will also have complimentary access to our laundry facilities (by request with one days’ notice please).

We have 2 lovely Australian Shepherd dogs, who love interacting with our guests, as well as a beautiful longhair cat. We enjoy meeting and interacting with our guests, but also respect guests’ privacy. We are always available by text (and through the Airbnb app) to answer any questions or offer assistance.

We are very close to hiking trails, ocean access and beaches and provincial parks. We’re located halfway between Sechelt and Madeira Park so we’re very central. Grocery stores and restaurants are all within a 20-minute drive, and we also have a wonderful historic convenience store (with liquor) 5 minutes down the highway from us. This is a wonderful place to get away from it all and yet not be too far from anything. Guests will require a car as we’re 2.3 kilometres up the hill from the Sunshine Coast highway. We have two wonderful, active Aussie Shepard dogs. They are friendly and love interacting with our guests. They will likely bring you a ball or stick to throw for them. The dogs may be excited when they first greet you. For many guests, the dogs are the most memorable part of their stay and that says a lot as we have a fantastic place! Our place is 2.3 km up from the Sunshine Coast Highway central to both Sechelt and Madeira Park, making it an ideal location to explore the area. We are surrounded by trails and are within minutes of the ocean and the Halfmoon Bay Store that has everything you'd need, including alcohol! We are on well water, so conservation of water is important, especially in the summer months. The water quality is excellent. We have a state-of-the-art ultra-violet water filtration system and the water is wonderful and healthy, with no chlorine.

PETS: We allow one well-behaved pet per stay, with an additional $40.00 fee. Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times.
