The cabin also has an outdoor seating area with four Adirondack chairs, an accessible picnic table and fire ring (w/ integrated grill), and bistro lights for evening ambience. The front and back entrances to the cabin are equipped with ramps. This cabin has been designed just like our other Haven cabins, but with some minor differences to ensure it can be enjoyed by all! Whether you book it for access needs or not, there is no better place to unwind.

This cabin is located in the recently renovated campground, a nearly 100-year-old tourist attraction located in Freeport. The Desert is 25 acres of rolling sand dunes in the middle of a lush Maine forest, a natural phenomenon created during the last ice age. The tourist attraction includes self-guided tours about the history and geology of the Desert, exhibits for kids, a train ride, and a new mini golf course! The campground is quiet and serene, surrounded by tall northern pines and the “desert” dunes. There is a 24x7 Camp Store where you can buy bundled wood, snacks, drinks, ice cream, ice, and other essentials. We also have lawn games like corn hole, bocce, hook & ring, and more. Come unwind and make magical memories here!

ACCESS
You will have the entire cabin on a dedicated campsite, all to yourself. In addition, you will have access to our renovated, cedar bath house which is just steps away, with individual showers. However, please note that the bath house is an older building which is not accessible.

ADDITIONAL RULES
- The campground is a quiet, serene place. Please act accordingly.
- Quiet Hours are from to 10:00 pm to 8:00 am. Guests arriving or departing during quiet hours, should pretend the campground is filled with light-sleeping, hardened street fighters who just start scrapping when they are awoken. If someone is not respecting quiet hours, please call or text us. Guests who violate our quiet hours policy will be given one warning. After the first warning, they will be asked to leave.
- All vehicles must park at their assigned site or in designated parking areas. Do not block the road or prevent access to other sites. Max of one (1) vehicle per site. Additional vehicle parking is available in the larger parking lot near the entrance to the campground.

Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times and must not be left unattended. Unfortunately, dogs who bark too much are probably stressed out by the camping experience so we will have to ask their owners to help them calm down or take them back home. Guests must clean up after their dog(s).
- Alcohol is permitted within assigned sites for guests of legal drinking age. Do not take alcohol outside the assigned site. Please do not get out of control or you will be asked to leave.
