Animals such as ants, mice, spiders, moths, flies, chipmunks, birds, and rabbits (along with bears, coyotes, mountain lions, wild donkeys, etc.) are native to Big Bear and it is typical in the mountains to have an occasional sighting of any of these creatures, especially during particularly dry/hot seasons when they are searching for water or cold seasons if they are searching for food. Please keep in mind you are booking a trip in the wilderness - we are in a mountain town & are located in their territory. We prepare for such sightings with traps, spray, routine cleaning, and maintenance, etc., but we give no refunds for seeing any of these creatures & want to prepare our guests for what to expect. Please do not leave any food out and be sure to use containers or zip-lock bags - unfortunately, we do not provide those items but they may be purchased at many of our local convenience and grocery stores.
