Additional plows can be arranged for a fee.*Animals such as ants, mice, spiders, moths, flies, chipmunks, birds, and rabbits (along with bears, coyotes, mountain lions, wild donkeys, etc.) are native to Big Bear and it is typical in the mountains to have an occasional sighting of any of these creatures, especially during particularly dry/hot seasons when they are searching for water or cold seasons if they are searching for food. Please keep in mind you are booking a trip in the wilderness - we are in a mountain town and are in their territory. We prepare for such sightings with traps, spray, routine cleaning, and maintenance, etc., but we give no refunds for seeing any of these creatures and want to prepare our guests for what to expect. Please do not leave any food out and be sure to use containers or zip-lock bags - unfortunately, we do not provide those items, but they may be purchased at many of our local convenience and grocery stores. We place ant traps around the house in between guests, but for safety we do not leave them out for your arrival.ADDITIONAL RULESPlease take the time to carefully review our listing. Furniture should not be moved around. There will be an additional cleaning fee for any stains on linens or sofas. Please address any spills quickly to avoid extra fees. A fee will be applied for late check out of $100 if you do not check out at the time listedNO SMOKING/VAPING/DRUGS: Our home is non-smoking, non-vaping, and no drugs please ($500 for smoking inside). Please do not use our backyard either as a restroom as it will be subject to a $150 cleaning fee. Please do not burn candles in our cabin for safety reasons.FIREPLACE: Wood is not provided but can be purchased at stores around town. Do not use wet wood as it will fill the house with smoke and set off fire alarms.CHECK OUT PROCESS:- Wash all dishes/BBQ tools in the dishwasher due to city sanitation requirements.- Make sure the BBQ is turned off, and return the cover to the BBQ. If the grill is left dirty, there will be an extra cleaning charge.- Make sure the heater is not turned off and returned to 55 degrees, or it will result in possible pipe damage.- Make sure the fire is out in the fireplace, and ashes are cleared and dumped in the ash bin.- Leave any beds that were used unmade. Place all used towels in the tub.- Double-check for any personal belongings. Guests are advised to adhere to quiet hours between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m.PETS Pets are required to be leashed or kept in an enclosed area on the property at all times. Dogs are required to be licensed. Barking or other animal noise may result in noise complaints.TRASHPlease place all trash in approved containers. Ensure containers are closed to keep animals out. Do not place trash bags or other uncontained trash anywhere on the property. OCCUPANCY Exceeding the occupancy limit could result in expulsion from the rental, fines, or both. The approved number of people allowed in the unit can be found on the information posted inside the unit. PROHIBITED USES Short-term rentals may not be used for commercial purposes, such as filming, corporate retreats, conferences, or wedding receptions. COMPLAINTS The County operates a 24-hour hotline where residents can report short-term rental violations. All complaints are investigated and can result in a $1,000 citation.REGISTRATION/CHECK-IN You should receive a complete copy of the rental unit rules and regulations from the owner as well as information about penalties for violations.
