This charming tropical treehouse sits amidst the treetops on Jolly Roger Trail. It is a barrier island, so plan to leave your car and your cares on the mainland and step into a beautiful tropical environment. It is a short walk to miles of uncrowded beaches. Use the complimentary kayaks to explore the bay or gulf!

The home offers plenty of room for everyone to spread out, with spacious bedrooms that open to the screened porch and a large air-conditioned living area. The master bedroom on its own side of the house has an en suite bath with a shower and a private deck opening to the fresh air. The bedroom has a king bed and French doors that open to the screened porch. The second bedroom offers two twin beds and also has French doors that open to the porch.

The kitchen has seating for 4 on the kitchen island, and has stainless steel appliances and all the dishes and cookware you need.

The front porch extends the width of the house and nearly doubles the living area of the house. It is spacious and breezy, and very private. You may glimpse a golf cart pass by on Jolly Rooster Trail, but this house is nestled in the treetops for lots of peace, quiet, and privacy.

The home offers access to a dock slip if you bring or rent your own boat. (One per home, 24 ft. maximum.). If you get dropped off by the water taxi, you can be dropped off at Dock 75 on Rum Runner. Both docks are just a short walk from the house. Free kayaks are available if you wish to explore the bay. Please note that the golf cart shown in the photos does NOT come with the house, but we provide contact information for the local cart rental shop when you book. The owner also includes beach towels and beach chairs for their guests' use.

There is a covered back porch at the back of the house with views of the treetops. It makes a lovely spot from which to have morning coffee. There is another open porch off the master bedroom, perfect for private sunbathing or relaxing in the sunshine on a January day.

The best feature of this home is the peace and privacy it affords. Set back from the road, on a quiet, seldom-traveled pathway, it offers a great spot for a peaceful, quiet vacation with the beautiful beaches and great fishing just a short stroll away. The beautiful beach is about a 4-5 minute walk from the house.

Holiday surcharges: applied for reservations for Independence Day, Thanksgiving, Memorial Day, Labor Day, and Christmas/New Year's timeframes. PLEASE NOTE THAT MINIMUM NIGHTLY STAYS MAY BE INCREASED FOR THESE DATES AS WELL.

Please evaluate your expectations before booking a stay on the Island. If you are expecting a polished "resort" atmosphere, it is decidedly more rustic. During periods of heavy rain or tropical storms, there may be standing water on the roadways, at the dock, and around the house. This is a tropical environment with mosquitoes, rust, power outages, and other minor inconveniences. If you are expecting resort amenities and services, the island might not be for you.

You can not drive to the island. You must bring a boat or use the local water taxi.

I UNDERSTAND THIS HOME IS ON AN ISLAND WITH NO CAR ACCESS AND THAT I CAN NOT CHECK IN WITHOUT RETURNING A SIGNED CONTRACT.

Pets permitted with advanced approval and a $100 pet fee (per pet). The following breeds are NOT permitted: Akita, American Bulldog, Beaucerons, Caucasian Mountain Dog, Chow Chow, Doberman Pinscher, German Shepherd, Great Danes, Keeshounds, Pit Bull, Staffordshire Terriers, Presa Canarios, or Rottweilers.

Guests are not allowed to exceed stated occupancy limits of the home, and ALL GUESTS (including children under 2) must be included in the total count of guests. Each booking guest agrees to provide a list of all occupants and other contact info, and agrees not to exceed the number of occupants listed on the booking request submitted. Prior to departure, you are required to wash your dishes and launder any beach towels you have used. Laundry facilities are provided. No smoking anywhere inside the house.

No parties allowed; only the people in the reservation may be at the house without prior permission. You will be required to sign our rental contract listing these terms. At least two members of your group must be age 25 or older. Neither the property owner nor the rental manager is responsible for any inability to occupy the premises due to acts of God, including but not limited to hurricanes, windstorms, floods, or red tide. No refunds are issued for early departure or unused days.

Any request to reschedule reservation dates is subject to approval of the property owner and, if approved, requires the tenant to pay a $200 non-refundable rescheduling fee. The rescheduling credit has no cash value, and no refunds will be issued if the tenant decides to cancel their rescheduled dates.
