A Pet friendly, zen inspired forest retreat in the middle of the pine forest in Bastrop Tx. Lose yourself on our shady grounds where deer and other wildlife flourish. Wander through our 4 acres of 100s of trees. You’ll love relaxing in our zen-hammocks! We are two miles from Colovista Golf and Country Club and only 6 miles from downtown Bastrop!
The space
The House is located 6 miles East of Bastrop Tx and sits in the middle of a pine forest close to Colovista Golf and Country Club. Deer, birds and other wildlife flourish here.
Our cozy cottage features an open concept design.
Enjoy morning coffee and evening wine on our porch... The Shade Patio with its BBQ Grill is a favorite spot to view wildlife and enjoy the outdoors.
The guest house features 2 comfy queen beds, air conditioning and heat, washer/dryer, full kitchen, full size refrigerator, ice maker, high speed wifi, walk in shower and a smart TV.
We love having well behaved pets explore the grounds with their families. We do have a $75.00 per pet per stay fee that helps keep us pet friendly. The maximum number of pets for this property is 3. Please inform us of the number of pets joining you during your stay when making your reservation. The booking site does not collect this fee. You can leave it on the counter before you leave. Our greatest joy is having happy guest, please look over the photos and read the description and house rules in their entirety before you book. Most come here for the meditative grounds and forest setting. If you are looking for a huge sprawling home to lock yourself in for days on end, this may not be the place for you. Our sister properties, they are better suited for you huge sprawling spaces types.
While a 2-night stay is possible, the vast majority of our guest’s have told us they wished they had booked an additional night. If a 3-night stay is possible we recommend booking at least 3 days as it is seldom possible to add a night at the last minute. Discounted stays begin at 3 nights!

Guest access
Guests have access to PineyWoods House as well as the forest on our property. We do live next door but respect your privacy! You may see us coming and going from time to time or working in the yard. Just say howdy and we will introduce ourselves.
Other things to note
The occupancy listed is the max occupancy this property can accommodate. If you intend to host any event, celebration or other function, you will need to disclose this to us in advance and obtain approval, including an agreement to all additional fees and terms.
We ask that you read all House Rules & Policies including the additional House Rules section. prior to booking. Upon booking, you are stating that you understand them and agree to follow and abide by them.
We strongly advise trip insurance to cover your booking and will provide any documentation you may need to facilitate your claim. Our cancelation policy will be adhered to at all times during your reservation. We do not refund reservations outside of our cancelation policy. Unlike hotels who typically overbook reservations, we do not have that option. We have blocked off the property from all advertising once you booked it and typically have a hard time re-booking on short notice. If you do cancel outside of our policy, we will do our best to rebook the property and will send you any funds we collect to offset your losses less a 20% rebooking fee. These funds may be less than you originally paid.
Your driveway parking is limited to 3 cars.

The House is a quiet forest retreat designed for relaxation and connection with nature. Please treat the home, grounds, wildlife, and neighbors with care and respect.
This is a natural setting, so uneven ground, stairs, and wildlife are part of the experience. Guests are responsible for their own safety, and children should be supervised at all times.

Keep doors closed when AC/heat is running (helps prevent insects)
Septic system: flush toilet paper only
No smoking inside (outdoor smoking allowed; dispose of butts properly)
Do not leave trash outside overnight (wildlife will get into it)
Bagged trash can be taken to the dumpster near the road if needed

Leash pets initially and whenever wildlife is present
Clean paws before entering (pet towels provided)

Pets should not be on beds or furniture
If left alone inside, pets must be kenneled (guest provides kennel)

Cancellations & Travel Insurance
Trip insurance is recommended as our cancellation policy will be enforced. If cancelled after deadline we will do our best to rent the property and forward collected fees to you less a 20% re-booking fee.
Utilities & Nature
While typically not a problem, occasional internet or utility outages can occur in rural areas and are outside our control be prepared with a personal hot spot if needed.
