This is a zen‑inspired, pet‑friendly 4BR/2BA home on a peaceful stretch of the Colorado River, just 2 miles from downtown Bastrop and 30+ miles from Austin. Spend your days swimming, fishing, tubing or kayaking from the riverbank, then unwind in hammocks, around the fire pit, or in the sunroom watching the water and wildlife. This is a true nature sanctuary: you’ll hear birds, see stars, and feel far from the city while still being close to restaurants, shops, and two beautiful state parks.”

Nature & expectations
“This is a riverfront nature sanctuary, not the sterile 20th floor of a high‑rise. You may occasionally see harmless dirt daubers, lizards, spider webs, wasps, leaves on outdoor furniture, or other signs of nature, especially when outdoors. We clean and wipe surfaces regularly, but nature changes daily—if you see a bit of the outdoors on a chair or hammock, just brush it off with one of our pet towels, take a breath, and enjoy this peaceful, natural setting.”

You’ll have access to the house, driveway, and grounds. The grounds are large and may occasionally be shared with guests from our sister property, located on the same grounds, but there are multiple patios and quiet corners for everyone to enjoy or, you can rent both and be totally private if you desire.
If you need to sleep a couple more guests, you can inquire about booking The River House, or Harmony House nearby (subject to availability).”

This is a riverfront nature sanctuary. You may see insects, lizards, spider webs, leaves, and other signs of nature, especially outdoors.
We clean regularly, but outdoor furniture and hammocks may collect debris between stays; feel free to brush them off and enjoy.
Use the river, dock, fire pit, and outdoor areas at your own risk. Children must be supervised at all times near the water and fire.
No glass containers near the river or on the dock.
Shared grounds
You have private use of the house and your designated outdoor areas.
The larger grounds may occasionally be shared with guests from our sister property.
Please be courteous and share common spaces respectfully if other guests are present.
Parking
