Tow

The community of Tow, Texas got its start in 1852 when settlers arrived at a salt bed near the Colorado River and began developing a saltworks. It lies in the region called Texas Hill Country, which is characterized by karst topography and many rugged, low lying hills. Tow lies along the Colorado River, which is great for fishing, white water rafting, river kayaking, or just jumping in to cool off on a hot day. The river funnels into Buchanan Lake, where a dam has pooled up a large collection of water. Go paddleboarding along the coast or go fishing off the pier. Inks Lake State Park at the south end of the lake is a great place to spend the day picnicking and wandering around enjoying the scenery. Don’t delay - plan your trip to Tow, Texas today.
