Secluded, Romantic Yurt w/Hot Tub
This yurt features a climate-controlled space with a king-size bed, private hot tub, fire pit, outdoor bathroom, kitchen, gas grill, and a rooftop deck. It is situated right inside our front gate and features a 360-degree view of the Texas Hill Country. Enjoy a glass of wine watching the sunset out by your own fire pit, lounging in your hammock or while soaking in your private hot tub at the end of a hill country day. This is our easiest yurt to drive through with a small or low-riding vehicle.
After more than 20 years of traveling around the globe and living in far-flung regions, the hosts of this property settled in Wimberley, Texas, where they enjoy the small-town atmosphere and peaceful setting of the Texas Hill Country.
In 2019, they created the location in Wimberley to provide a unique experience for guests to come relax in a private retreat with luxury vibes. They found beautiful, brightly colored Mongolian yurts during their travels and knew they would be perfect for the experience they wanted to create.
The reputation grew as their guests began sharing their experiences. Soon they began to receive attention from the media as well as influencers. They eventually created a similar experience in the hills near Dripping Springs. With more land and a wet-weather creek, they could add 10 yurts with the same luxury amenities in a peaceful and private setting.
The hosts now have two locations with a total of 16 yurts – each one tucked into the woods, carefully curated with vintage furnishings, and a lot of attention to the details of view corridors and maximum privacy. The original yurts are named for their daughters and other yurts are named for friends and family.
Do you dream of a vacation in which you unplug your phone, climb into a cozy bed and sleep for 12 hours? When is the last time you sat on a porch and watched birds at a bird feeder? We have the place for you.
We specialize in private relaxation in the woods, but we also have those creature comforts that make it all worthwhile:
- AC in the summer, heat in the winter
- Reliable high-speed WIFI (rare around here!)
- Smart TV
- a hot tub on the deck
- a gas fire pit on the deck
- gas grill for barbecuing
- excellent local coffee beans with grinder (we take coffee very seriously around here, so we offer it complimentary for our guests)
- mini fridge for storing your food during your stay
- 10 acres of trails to explore the woods, hide in a tree, or do more hammock swinging.
- sweeping 360-degree views from your own private rooftop deck.
- Did we mention private?!?
This is one of a total of 6 sleeping yurts on the property in Wimberley. Wimberley has become one of the most popular destinations in the Texas Hill Country. The Yurtopian is less than a 5-minute drive to the Wimberley Square with TONS of shops, restaurants, bars, and coffee shops. - Community Beer Garden - Open Wed. - Sunday for lunch and dinner; Community has fantastic pizza, a great outdoor seating area and a huge selection of local beers on tap.
- The Let Go - Open 7 days a week, this is our favorite bar in town! Great burgers, hummus, chicken gyros + killer margaritas that will knock your socks off!

TACOS:

-Mima's Kitchen - Family-owned counter-serve, Mima's serves breakfast tacos & other Mexican food all day long. Homemade chips and queso are the best!!
