Round Beach Huts for Glamping on the Beach in Quintana Roo, Mexico
These four round beach huts are perfect for glamping on the beach in the Quintana Roo state of Mexico. Each hut consists of two stories with a room on each floor, and every room contains a queen-size bed and a twin bed, sleeping three guests each. They all boast their own bathroom with a shower, hot water, biodegradable soap and shampoo, and towels.
All of the huts are on the beach and have their own private terraces overlooking the Caribbean Sea. The rooms are decorated with Mexican art, and the floors are tastefully tiled. There are ceiling fans and constant electricity, and bottled drinking water is provided. Each room has a cooler for guests to keep things chilled and Wi-Fi to keep them connected.
There are wind and solar electric systems that provide 24-hour service for the site. There is also a large rainwater collection service. There is daily maid service in the accommodations. There are kayaks on site that can be used free of charge, and beach towels are provided. The lounge offers a wide selection of music and has a library with information on local birds and animals, books on everything guests would like to know about the Mayans, and plenty of travel information. There are DVDs available to use in the private rooms. There is secured parking on the property, and night security guards.
Breakfast is included in the price – it consists of fresh fruits, homemade granola, juices, many egg dishes, yogurt, pancakes, and meats such as bacon, chorizo and ham. Organic coffee and special teas are also available. For lunch there is a light menu of sandwiches, soups, tacos and quesadillas, which can be enjoyed in the dining room or on the beach, or they can be taken on a day trip. For dinner the many different restaurants around the property are all worth trying if guests would like to experience authentic Mexican cuisine. The bar on site offers wine, beer and other specialty drinks.

Driving down the coast from Cancun to Mahahual, there are endless sites to visit to get a feel for the culture and beauty of the region. For instance, about two hours south of Cancun, there is the town of Tulum, where there are famous Mayan ruins overlooking the sea. Further down this same road is the town of Felipe Carrillo Puerto, which has many excellent restaurants. In addition to the incredible cuisine, this town also has great historical significance – it was a center during the last Mayan stand against the Spaniards, known as the War of the Castes, which lasted the whole last half of the 19th century.
