Scenic views
This safari tent is located at a glamping site in the northern outskirts of Balcombe, which is a small village in West Sussex, England. Situated in a woodland setting on a six-acre property that is home to chickens, pigs, and vegetable gardens, the site is surrounded by the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), which encompasses 564 square miles of verdant forests, historic parks, small farms, and charming villages. Laced with more than 1,200 miles of footpaths, the AONB provides guests with a virtually inexhaustible range of options for reconnecting to the great outdoors.

Nearby attractions within the AONB include Ardingly Reservoir and Ashdown Forest. Even if they have never been to the latter, guests will likely already have some familiarity with it, as it was A.A. Milne and E. H. Shepard's inspiration for the Hundred Acre Wood in which the Winnie-the-Pooh stories take place. In addition to its literary significance, the forest is also a nationally-designated Site of Special Scientific Interest, Special Protection Area, and Special Area of Conservation due to its ecologically important heathland habitats and the abundant species of birds that they support.

The site is just 15 minutes from the town of Crawley, where guests will find the nearest international airport and a number of shops, restaurants, and attractions such as the botanic gardens and country estate of Wakehurst Place, the ruins and garden of Nymans, and Tilgate Park. At the latter, guests will find Tilgate Lake, a silvicultural forest, a treetop adventure course, and a nature center that is home to more than 100 species of wildlife and birds, including otters, pigs, mongooses, meerkats, owls, and parrots.
