Enjoy an unforgettable stay with a magnificent view of the surrounding nature at our panoramic retreat, a unique, minimalist, and brand-new accommodation in France.

SPACE
Located in the heart of Emile’s beautiful family vineyard, your host, the retreat offers all amenities within 5 square meters, perfectly optimized over two levels:
Level 1:
Lounge/dining/relaxation area with table, stools, dishes, small sink, 8-liter cooler, gas stove (for heating food only, not cooking full meals), cushions
Gas heater
Ecological toilet (dry toilet)
Drinking water via an 8-liter dispenser
Level 2 (access via a small ladder):
Sleeping area: double bed 140x190 cm (suitable for 2 adults) with breathtaking panoramic views of the Haut Bugey vineyards through large windows
Fans for cooling (no air conditioning)
Bed linen included
Outside:
Elevated terrace around the retreat
Outdoor furniture: table & chairs (except during winter)
Private outdoor summer shower with hot water (available approximately April 15 – October 15; dates may vary depending on weather)

Current shower status: OPEN
When the shower is closed, a small indoor sink is available for basic washing with gloves, soap, and cold water. Ecological shower gel and towels are provided.

Dining: Available on request, at least 48 hours in advance (and subject to availability after that):
Saucisson & Comté: €10
Terrine: €8
All wines from the vineyard (Cerdon, Gamay, Chardonnay, etc.)

A vineyard tour with wine tasting is also possible (€15 per person, ~1 hour), as well as electric bike rental.

GOOD TO KNOW:
The retreat is located in nature and completely off-grid, with electricity produced by solar panels and gas heating. You have all usual comforts, but the idea of this alternative dwelling is to increase awareness of your environmental impact.
Some rules apply during your stay:
Only phones and laptops can be plugged in. Using other electrical devices (hairdryers, straighteners, raclette machines, etc.) may damage the solar system.
Due to high fire risk, smoking and open flames (including barbecues) are strictly forbidden.
Wastewater is filtered by plants: only use the 100% natural products provided.
Pets are not allowed.

Free parking approximately 100 meters from the retreat, at the vineyard entrance

NOTES
The retreat is set in Emile’s family vineyard in Haut Bugey. Depending on the season, you may see him working the vines or passing by some harvesters.

No Wi-Fi in the retreat
Due to its unique layout and access path, the accommodation is not suitable for guests with reduced mobility (PRM)

ADDITIONAL RULES
1 - Do not operate the heater for more than 1 hour at a time. Always turn off the gas bottle at night. Close the stove’s gas bottle after each use.
2 - Do not handle gas bottles (except to turn off the valve at night) or tamper with detectors.
3 - Gas smell: Danger! If the smell persists, open windows, do not light any flame, and exit the retreat immediately. Contact your hosts.
4 - Fire risk is very high; smoking and open flames are strictly forbidden on the property.
5 - Only PCs, phones, and devices provided on-site may be plugged in. Do not use other electrical devices.
6 - Keep the indoor temperature above 10°C to avoid freezing.
7 - Do not drink tap or shower water. A drinking water dispenser is provided at arrival. Request more if needed.
8 - If the shower runs out of water, close all valves and inform your hosts immediately, even late at night. Do not use until resolved.

These rules must be respected and you must engage your personal responsibility. We are not liable for any incidents caused by non-compliance. An English version is available upon request or in the shared file provided before arrival.
