In your nature retreat, just 10 minutes from Montélimar, your stay will be accompanied by the peaceful grazing of horses in the surrounding fields. Immerse yourself in the plains of the Drôme Provençale and enjoy stunning sunsets from your bed thanks to the large windows in the lodge. Or relax on the deck chairs while admiring the distant Ardèche mountains!

SPACE
Just a few kilometers south of Montélimar, the medieval village of Châteauneuf-du-Rhône, protected by its 13th-century walls and keep, welcomes you for a rich and authentic regional experience. Explore a wide range of activities such as cycling, canoeing, climbing, hiking… and delight in local gastronomy with nougat, black truffle, Nyons olives, or Clairette de Die. The area is full of history, with its typical castles, medieval villages, caves, and other wonders along the Rhône.

Set within Sylvie and Claude’s small horse farm, your tiny home retreat offers all the comforts within 14 square meters, perfectly optimized:

Sleeping area: queen-size bed (160x200 cm) for 2 adults, sofa bed for 1 additional guest (extra bed)
Kitchen area: fridge, gas stove, sink, utensils, tableware, and condiments
Living/dining area: table, chairs, sofa
Bathroom: sink, walk-in shower, eco-friendly toilet (composting toilet)
Soap, towels, and bed linen provided
Gas stove heating
Ceiling fan (no air conditioning)
Outdoor furniture (except in winter): table, chairs, deck chairs
Drinking water via a 5-liter fountain (do not drink tap water; used for washing and showers only)
Cleaning included
Free parking
Dining (extra cost): Sylvie and Claude offer locally sourced meals delivered to your retreat:
Breakfast (€10 per person)

IMPORTANT:
The retreat is fully off-grid and in nature: electricity comes from solar panels, cooking and heating run on gas, and water is stored in a tank. You will have all the usual comforts, but this alternative habitat also aims to raise awareness of environmental impact!

Some rules apply:
Only use electrical devices provided on-site (except phones and laptops) to avoid damaging the solar system. Hairdryers, curling irons, raclette machines, etc., are prohibited.
Due to high fire risk, smoking is strictly forbidden inside and around the retreat, as is lighting any flame (barbecues not allowed).
Wastewater is filtered by plants; only use the natural products provided (shower gel, dish soap).
No pets are allowed in the retreat.

NOTES
The retreat is located on Sylvie and Claude’s horse farm, and you may encounter them and their animals (dogs, chickens, horses). Some farm buildings are also visible around the retreat (horse paddocks, shed, etc.).
There is no Wi-Fi in the lodge, but 4G generally works well.
The retreat entrance has three steps; it is not suitable for guests with reduced mobility (PMR).
Bed linen is washed but not ironed.

ADDITIONAL RULES
During your stay, please follow these rules:
Do not run the stove for more than 2 hours at a time; always turn off the gas bottle at night. Close the stove gas bottle after each use.
Do not handle gas bottles (except turning the valve off at night) or unplug detectors.
Gas smell: Danger! If the gas odor persists, open windows, do not light any flame, and leave the lodge. Contact your hosts immediately.
Smoking and any flames are strictly forbidden on the property (barbecue, candles, etc.).
Only use the electrical devices provided (except phones and laptops). Do not manipulate the electrical system.
Keep the indoor temperature above 10°C to prevent freezing.
Do not drink tap or shower water; drinking water is provided via a fountain. Request refills if needed.
If tap water runs out, close all taps and inform your hosts immediately. Do not use until the issue is resolved.
This house rule must be followed and engages your personal responsibility. The tiny home is not liable for incidents caused by non-compliance. An English version is available upon request or in the shared folder provided before your arrival.
