Come and enjoy an unforgettable stay with a stunning view of the surrounding nature at our panoramic refuge, a unique, minimalist, and brand-new type of accommodation in FranceSPACE Nestled at the edge of the Cheirilles forest, near the trails leading to Mont-Dore, this refuge offers every comfort within 5 square meters cleverly arranged over two living levels:On the 1st level:Lounge/dining/relaxation area with table, stools, dishes, small sink, insulated cooler, gas stove (for reheating food but not for cooking full meals inside), and cushionsHeating via a gas stoveEcological dry toiletsDrinking water from an 8-liter fountainOn the 2nd level (accessed by a small ladder):Sleeping area: double bed (140x190 cm, for 2 adults) with an unobstructed panoramic view of nature through large picture windowsFan for cooling (no air conditioning)Bed linen includedOutdoors:Elevated terrace surrounding the accommodationOutdoor furniture: table and chairs (except in winter)Private outdoor summer shower with hot water, open only during the warm season, from around April 15 to October 15 (dates may vary depending on weather conditions)Current shower status: OPENWhen the outdoor shower is closed, a small indoor sink allows for a quick wash with a cloth, soap, and cold water. Electricity is generated by solar panels, and heating runs on gas. You’ll enjoy all the usual comforts, but the goal of this alternative housing experience is also to raise awareness of your environmental impact!Therefore, a few important rules apply during your stay:Except for phones and laptops, do not plug in any other electrical devices other than those provided on-site, as it may damage the solar system. Devices such as hairdryers, straighteners, or raclette grills cannot be used.Due to the high fire risk in nature, it is strictly forbidden to smoke in or around the refuge, or to light any flame (no barbecues).Wastewater is filtered by plants — please use only the 100% natural products provided.Pets are not allowed in the refuge.ACCESS Check-in: from 6:00 PMCheck-out: before 10:00 AMKey box available for late arrivalsTo preserve the peace, parking is located in the center of the hamlet, near the wash house. Welcome to your hosts, Véronique and Franck!ADDITIONAL RULES Here is the house manual to follow during your stay:Do not operate the gas stove for more than 1 hour at a time, and make sure to turn it off completely at night by closing the gas valve (turn the knob fully). The stove’s gas bottle must also be closed after each use.It is forbidden to handle the gas bottles (except to close the valve at night) or to disconnect any detectors.If you smell gas: danger! Open the windows, do not light any flames, and leave the refuge. Contact your hosts immediately.Because of the high fire risk, smoking is strictly prohibited inside the refuge and on the surrounding land. Lighting any flame (barbecue, candle, etc.) is also forbidden.Apart from laptops, phones, and on-site equipment, do not plug in any other devices, or you risk losing electricity. Do not tamper with electrical systems.Keep the interior temperature above 10°C to prevent freezing.Do not drink tap or shower water (non-potable). Your hosts will provide a drinking water fountain upon arrival; you can request refills if needed.If you run out of water in the shower, turn off all taps immediately and inform your hosts right away, even late at night, to prevent pump damage. If you cannot reach them, do not use the water system until the issue is resolved.This house manual must be followed and constitutes your personal responsibility during the stay. It disclaims any liability for incidents resulting from failure to comply with these rules.
