GOOD TO KNOW
The place is entirely off-grid and self-sufficient: electricity is generated by solar panels, the kitchen and heating run on gas, and running water is stored in a tank. You’ll have all the usual comforts, but the goal of this alternative accommodation is also to encourage awareness of your environmental impact.
As a result, a few rules apply during your stay:
Except for phones and laptops, please do not plug in any other electrical devices than those provided on-site, to avoid damaging the solar system. That means no hair dryers, straighteners, or raclette machines.
Because of the high fire risk in natural surroundings, smoking and open flames are strictly prohibited, both inside and outside the place (no barbecue).
Wastewater is filtered through plants, so please only use the 100% natural products provided (body wash, dish soap).
Pets are not allowed.
ACCESS
Check-in: from 4:00 p.m.
Check-out: before 10:00 a.m.
Key box available for late arrivals
Please note: access to the place is via a dirt road about 400 meters long, which you can drive on to park near the home.
If you prefer not to take the dirt road, you can park at the entrance (a space is provided) and walk the rest of the way.
NOTES
The place is located on the property of your hosts, Benoit and Julie, who live on-site. You may see them during your stay.
There is no Wi-Fi in the accommodation.
The entrance to the place is not at ground level and includes a small staircase of three steps. The accommodation is not suitable for guests with reduced mobility (PRM).
Our concept: we build beautiful eco-lodges and install them for free with friendly hosts who want to welcome travelers into the heart of their regions, passions, and local curiosities.
Our ambition: to install 1,000 homes with 1,000 amazing hosts all over the world (Antarctica included).
Welcome to your hosts, Benoit and Julie!
ADDITIONAL RULES
Here are the house rules applicable during your stay:
Do not operate the stove for more than 2 consecutive hours, and turn it off at night by closing the gas valve completely. The gas bottle for the stove must also be closed after each use.
It is forbidden to handle gas bottles (except for closing the valve at night) and forbidden to disconnect detectors.
If you smell gas: danger! Open the windows, do not light any flame, and leave the place. Contact your hosts immediately.
Due to the high fire risk, it is strictly forbidden to smoke inside the home or on the surrounding grounds. It is also forbidden to light any flame (barbecue, candle, etc.).
Except for computers, phones, and the devices provided, do not plug in any other electrical devices, as this may cut off electricity. Do not tamper with electrical systems.
Make sure the indoor temperature remains above 10°C to prevent freezing.
Do not drink tap water from the sinks or shower (non-potable). Your hosts will provide a drinking water dispenser upon arrival; feel free to request more if needed.
If there is no more water coming from the taps, close all taps and inform your hosts immediately — even late at night — to prevent damage to the pump. If you cannot reach them, do not use the water until the issue is resolved.
These house rules must be respected and are your personal responsibility during your stay.
We decline any liability for incidents resulting from non-compliance with these rules.
