The accommodation is studio-style and features a full ensuite bathroom. There is a generous queen-size bed, with a large single bunk above. In the bright, private bathroom, guests will find a toilet, a sink, and a walk-in shower. Freshly-laundered linens and towels are provided by the host, along with a selection of complimentary toiletries.
Guests will find a private bay window area in the cabin with a small table and stools to relax and enjoy the private view of the native birds outside. Less than a minute's walk away, guests will find the Driving Creek Railway, where they can enjoy a trip through the native New Zealand bush, while the train driver recounts stories about the area's history. About 15 minutes away, by car, is The Waterworks, which is a great option for a family day out. Set in beautifully landscaped gardens, this is a quirky park full of water inventions. During the summer, visitors can take their swimwear and enjoy a dip in the waterhole, and it's a great place for picnics all year round.
Coromandel town is superb for shopping and dining, with great local stores, and tasty cafes and restaurants. There's also a museum here, dedicated to the town's rich gold mining history, which is a good choice for a rainy day. Guests can find many sandy beaches a short drive from the property, and the host recommends New Chums and Whangapoua, both of which are about 30 minutes away. There are also a great many trails nearby for hiking, biking, horseback riding, and wildlife viewing. Glampers will adore 309 Road, where a gentle stroll will take them past the stunning Waiau Waterfall. Keen fishermen will be pleased to know that a number of fishing charters depart regularly from Te Kouma, which is only 15 minutes from the property, and the region's waters are particularly good for reeling in snapper.
