Scenic views
This property is located in Hawke’s Bay, New Zealand, close to world-class wineries, mountain biking areas, hiking trails, and fine dining opportunities. There are spectacular ocean views from the rolling green hills of the elegant wineries and olive groves that dot the countryside. Hawke’s Bay, being one of the warmest and driest regions of the country, is one of the leading producers of wine, especially the reds like Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Syrah, as well as delectable whites.

Glampers can enjoy the wine that is made on site from locally grown grapes. In town, glampers will be dazzled by the famous architecture of the region, as it features Art Deco and Spanish Mission influences throughout the metropolitan areas. Buildings featuring these styles include the Daily Telegraph Building and Municipal Theatre in Napier and the Hawke’s Bay Opera House in Hastings. Much of Hasting’s Art Deco buildings in its center were rebuilt in the 1930’s after a huge earthquake, but have kept their original design.

The nearest airport is Hawke's Bay Airport, which is about 15 minutes away by car.

In Napier, glampers can visit the National Aquarium of New Zealand and view marine life and endangered local species like kiwis and tuataras, the latter of which resembles a lizard. It also is host to giant Matariki celebrations, which is the Maori New Year. Glampers can peruse the local farmer’s market for delicious fruits and vegetables, or indulge in gourmet cuisine. Nearby are the forest parks of Ruahine and Kaweka, as well several pristine beaches along the coast.

Glampers can take a bike ride on the Classic New Zealand Wine Trail, which features hundreds of wineries of the region. They can also enjoy a long walk on the beach or have a glass of wine while looking out at the breathtaking views of the coastline. Another popular activity is taking a walk up to the top of Te Mata Peak to see the panoramic views of the bay. Going on a scenic drive to enjoy the wine of the area or heading into town for an artisanal meal is a great way to spend vacation time with loved ones.
