This vacation getaway is located in a nature lodge situated in Hawke's Bay, North Island, and is surrounded by mountainous orchards, olive groves, and prestigious, award-winning vineyards. Aside from the wine tours, there are countless hiking trails and mountain bike courses. There is Art Deco and Spanish Mission architecture scattered in downtown Napier, such as the Daily Telegraph Building and Municipal Theatre, and also in Hastings' Hawke’s Bay Opera House. Also in downtown Napier and Hastings, guests will find plenty of fine-dining restaurants and casual cafes. A few short minutes walk from the lodge is the Crab Farm Winery and Snapper Park café. The closest airport is Hawke's Bay Airport, located within a 15-minute scenic drive from the nature lodge.

Nearby are the Ruahine and Kaweka forests for walks with nature. Guests can borrow bikes from the lodge and ride the New Zealand Wine Trail, which features hundreds of wineries of the region. Another must-do attraction is the walk up to the Te Mata Peak, where there are phenomenal panoramic views of the Hawke's Bay.
