Port Motueka

On the scenic South Island of New Zealand, on the western shore of Tasman Bay, lies Port Motueka. Despite having a population of fewer than 10,000 people, this is still the second largest urban center in the Tasman region, after the larger Richmond. This means it's the perfect place from which to make base camp and set out to explore this beautiful area! Found on the mouth of the Motueka River from which it gets it name, this town has plenty of water-based activities and sports to offer, as well.
