This glamping safari tent is located on a unique permaculture farm near Pohara Beach in Golden Bay on the South Island of New Zealand, and it can accommodate up to four guests. This spacious tent features all the comforts of home guests could ever want for their stay while still being immersed in nature. The tent is furnished with a queen-size bed and a futon that can accommodate an additional two guests.
Guests of all ages will sleep soundly to the sound of the stream and awake to the sound of local birds. Linens are kindly provided, including electric blankets for chillier nights. The accommodation is complete with storage, soft lighting, and bookshelves. Glampers can also utilize the mini-fridge to store some snacks and drinks, charge their devices, and start each day with a delicious coffee or tea.
The sunny outside deck to the tent is a perfect spot to take in the view of the farm. There is an upper deck with sea views. When it's time to eat, the outdoor kitchen facilities are available for guests to use, but guests can also order a full breakfast or a breakfast basket from the hosts for an additional fee. Glampers can also enjoy a refreshing hot outdoor shower in the shared bathroom facilities. There is also a compost toilet available. The friendly hosts of this property take immense pride in the beauty of the land and ensure this tent is perfectly prepared for every visitor to have an amazing experience.
WI-Fi is available for guest use from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. by the garage and main house. Glampers will stay toasty and warm inside the tent courtesy of the insulated wooden Eucalyptus floor, overhead heater, and electric blankets. The large windows and entrance to the tent provide natural light and mesh bug screens to keep any insects out. Outside, a fire pit and barbecue are also available.
The hosts live on-site, approximately 35 meters from where the safari tent is located. Bathroom facilities, both the toilets and the showers, are shared with the hosts and the guests of the other accommodation on-site. There is also a compost toilet for guests to use.
The well-maintained surrounding land and gardens on this property are welcome for guests to explore. Local tasty fruits and nuts can be picked right from the trees, which include peach, apple, plum, grapes, nashi, hazelnut, walnut, avocado, lemon, macadamia, feijoa, fig, kiwifruit, mandarin, orange, and pear. Farm-fresh eggs and honey from the beehives are also available for guests to enjoy.

For those traveling in a larger group, there is also a caravan on-site that can be rented in conjunction with the safari tent. For more information, guests can inquire with the host.
Discounts will be given for longer stays, with a minimum of at least two nights during high season (December through February).
Pets are permitted with advance notice, but they must sleep outside of the tent. They also must be able to get along with the host's chickens, cat, and rabbit. Guests must pick up after their dogs, too.
The hosts appreciate if guests try to keep any noise down from 6:30 p.m. onwards.
Smoking is permitted outside if far away from the main house and the safari tent.
