Stirling Point

Based in the most southern parts of South Island, Stirling Point offers visitors plenty of natural areas worth exploring. Most importantly, the point is famous for its signpost, directing towards cities all over the world. The signpost is a go-to spot for many tourists and has been featured in thousands of photographs. For scenic walks around the Stirling Point, check out the Foveaux Walk, a two-hour walk that takes you around the point’s coastline. If you want to see the region in its fullness, take a trip up Bluff Hill, where you’ll find a panoramic viewpoint. If you want to hit the beach, you’ll have to head to nearby Stewart Island, where you find a luscious beach that stretches around a cove.
