This charming vintage caravan rental, within driving distance of Leiria, Portugal, sleeps up to two people and is perfect for a romantic glamping getaway. With riverfront views Inside, there is a comfortable sofa that folds out into a large bed that accommodates two guests. During the day the bed can fold away to reveal a little sitting area with surrounding seating and a coffee table. The kitchen facilities include a gas portal for a stove, a water kettle, and utensils. There is a heater so guests can warm up during colder weather. The private bathroom facilities are located adjacently to the caravan, just a few steps away on a wooden patio. The toilet, shower, and sink are in a wooden washroom. The water supplied is from a local well and is heated by solar power, so depending on the weather, the supply can be limited. There is no drinking water available on the property, so guests are encouraged to bring their own bottles. Outside there is a patio furniture with a table and umbrella, so guests can enjoy their coffee or lunch outside overlooking the river underneath the Portuguese sun. The town is about a two and a half hour drive north from Lisbon and an hour and a half southwest of Porto and can be accessed by highways ICB and N2. Nearby towns also include Pedrogao Pequeno, Mosteiro, and the world heritage site of Tomar. The beautiful historical city of Coimbra is a 35-minute drive away. The Portuguese countryside is filled with endless hills and forests, and the peaceful river and lake are overlooked from the property. There are some ancient, interesting bridges that are great for sightseeing and photography. Many wineries can be accessed by car, as well as nearby Porto, a city that attracts many tourists. In Porto, guests can explore the city through a tour, by visiting a Fado show, or by tasting local gastronomy.
Besides exploring the town and other larger cities, property itself has amazing access to the river, lake, and forests. There is a dam located just north of the property, so the large lake is great for many watersports such as boating, jet skiing, waterskiing, kayaking, and canoeing. Fishing is also quite popular in the river and lake, where there is a variety of fish to catch. There is a beach on the river, called Praia Fluviais, so guests can go and sunbathe, swim, or have a picnic. Nearby trails to the property allow for great hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding access, with views of the mountains, rivers, and bridges.
