The hosts can help guests with planning activities, such as yoga, donkey rides, horse rides, Kaiake, Costa Vicentina Route, or water sports, as well as give guests details about the best places to explore or to eat. Many bird species can be seen, such as rare fishing eagles. The rarest species is the white stork, given that this is the only place in the world where they build their nests on the seashore rocks.
Another rarity is the otter since this is the only place in Portugal and one of the last places in Europe where it is possible to find otters in a marine habitat. Plant life includes the largest number of priority species in Portugal, including unique indigenous species such as Biscutella vicentina or Plantago Almogravensis.
In the extreme southwestern section of the park, guests should be sure to visit the lighthouse in the Cape of São Vicente after whom this stretch of coastline has been named and the nearby Sagres promontory, which housed the famous nautical school founded by the Infante D. Henrique in the 15th century.
Moreover, the property is located in one of the best places in the country for surfing, and guests will find many popular spots for surfing like Praia da Arrifana and Praia do Amado. In Odeceixe, the beach sits on both sides of a stream, offering swimming in the sea and in the river.
Just 20 km far from Aljezur, in Monchique, guests can find hot springs and a long list of outdoor activities such as hiking, mountain biking, canoeing, initiation to rope climbing and abseiling, cableslide, rope handling, archery, paintball, orientation, environment, and birdwatching. Guests should check out the fabulous Rota Vicentina, as well.
Portugal's southern tip holds a treasure trove of historic, cultural, and natural attractions for glamping guests to enjoy. Between beaches, nature, train trips, and nightlife, the whole group is sure to find something they love.
