Go glamping on the President's Day Weekend
Put the holiday weekend to good use by celebrating the birthday of the United States’ first president with a glamping getaway. President’s Day, which comes every year on the third Monday of February, gives us a brief break to remember how far the U.S. has come since George Washington’s time in office, and perhaps take a long weekend at a luxury camping accommodation in Virginia. The state where Washington began and finished out his life is filled with deluxe, glamping rentals, from riverside yurts and secluded, rustic cabins to authentic, mountain cabooses and woodland geodesic domes. Take in as many historical sights as you can (and maybe a slice of Virginia ham or two), eventually retreating back to the comforts of your glamping accommodation and its natural surroundings to appreciate the rest of your long weekend for President’s Day.
