This quirky stone cottage rental near George in the Western Cape, South Africa, is located near Wilderness Village on the shores of Trou River and can accommodate four guests. There are two bedrooms and one full bathroom. The first bedroom has a king-size bed and french doors that open onto the courtyard. The second bedroom has twin beds, access to the private patio, and pretty views across the aloe garden. In the bathroom, guests will find a toilet, a double sink, and a Victorian slipper tub, plus a beautiful, exposed stone decor. Linens and towels are provided.
The cottage is furnished with antiques and an Egyptian-themed decor. Outside, there is a large, semi-private decking area with luxury seating, native flora, and a mystical 400-year-old milkwood tree.
Built in the 1920s, this award-winning guest lodge offers incredible views over the sparkling Trou River lagoon and surrounding tree-covered mountainside, which can be enjoyed from the large garden containing 400-year-old milkwood trees and its very own plunge pool.
Relaxation and tranquility can easily be found on one of the many shaded wooden decks, including a floating deck, or on the communal terrace where guests can sit back and watch ducks, kingfishers, dabchicks, and fish at play.
For cooler days or nights, a cozy lounge with fireplace and comfy chairs is open to all guests.
