Group holidays in England at the best England holiday rentals

This stunning 17th Century sandstone manor house and cottage sleeps a grand total of 24 guests, making it ideal for a family reunion or a group holiday in Cumbria. In total there are 12 elegant five-star ensuite bedrooms and 13 luxury bathrooms. With options for family suites, twins, doubles and ground floor ensuites, there's a room for everyone. Sleek Egyptian cotton and feather duvets are provided, as well as bath towels.

The living spaces in the main part of the rental include an elegant drawing room with an open fireplace and adjoining living room. Here, you can lose yourself in a book from the oak-paneled library in front of a blazing fire, or catch up over a game in the second floor billiards room. You can enjoy meals in the sunlit orangerie overlooking the knot garden, or gather in the formal dining hall with an open fireplace salvaged from a local castle. The secondary part of the rental includes a vast handmade oak and granite breakfasting kitchen, an elegant dining room, and a living room with leather sofas and wood burning inglenook fireplace.

Outside, the children and dogs can run free while you spark up the barbecue on the cobbled courtyard. The huge garden and grounds run to 20 acres, including a private stretch of woodland with shallow stream, perfect for building dens and dams. The grounds include an archery lawn, sunny walled vegetable gardens, and a Victorian castle folly at the foot of the lawn, converted into a play area for the kids.
