Sleeping up to five guests, this amazing Lodge is a relaxing and comfortable place to stay when holidaying on the North Yorkshire coast. Located in a quiet park in the quaint village of Egton, the lodge is ideally situated within rural woodland, whilst just a short six miles from Whitby. Whether you’re looking for a family retreat or a getaway with friends, this home will certainly provide a fantastic base for exploring Egton, Whitby, and beyond.

SPACE
With a high, vaulted ceiling and floor-to-ceiling windows, the home has an incredible open plan living and dining area. The perfect place to relax, you can sink into one of the comfy leather sofas and watch the flat screen TV or get lost in a book.

The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could need to cook up a storm. Enjoy your meals at the dining area or eat alfresco style on the terrace, which has outdoor seating.

The home has three spacious bedrooms. On the ground floor, you’ll find a king en suite bedroom as well as a single bedroom. The master bedroom is located on the first floor and boasts a comfortable king-size bed and an ensuite shower room.

The family bathroom is located on the ground floor and has a bathtub with an overhead shower, WC, and basin.

ACCESS
Guests have access to the full property. The keys to the property are at the reception.

We welcome one well-behaved dog per stay only. Unfortunately, the park does not allow Staffordshire Bull Terriers, Rottweilers, Akitas, Alsatians, Huskies, American Bulldogs, Dobermans, or Mastiff. Dogs must be kept on their leads throughout the caravan park at all times. There is a field for exercising dogs off the lead. Guests staying with more than one dog will be asked to leave the site.

There is private parking available at the front of the lodge for up to 2 cars. Please note that there are no on-site facilities for EV charging.

NEIGHBORHOOD
If you’re looking for a relaxing break, you’ll get the best of both worlds when staying at Egton. This quaint village is perfect for walks and picnics. Head to Egton Bridge, Arncliffe Woods, or the river, where you can head over small stepping stones to the wooded island. If you’re looking to eat out or enjoy a quiet drink, there are two public houses in Egton - the Wheatsheaf and the Horseshoe.

Egton is located just six miles from the seaside town of Whitby on the North Yorkshire coast. Popular for its Blue Flag West Cliff beach and promenade, the whole family can enjoy a day on the golden sands. Head to Pier Road, you’ll find fun arcades and plenty of fish restaurants where you can sample the catch of the day.

The other side of Whitby is full of narrow, medieval streets dotted with boutiques and pubs. Climb the famous 199 steps up to the Church of Saint Mary. You can also discover the renowned ruined Whitby Abbey, which was the inspiration for Bram Stoker’s gothic novel ‘Dracula’.

TRANSIT
Egton has great rail and bus links to Whitby. Northern Rail operates a train to Whitby five times per day, which is a short 22-minute journey. Whitby train station is in the centre of Whitby, so villages and towns along the North Yorkshire coast can easily be reached via rail from here too.

Alternatively, you can hop on the Arriva North East bus service from Egton, which travels three times a day.

By car, the journey from Egton to Whitby takes approximately 12 minutes along the A171.
