Guests staying in this peaceful bed and breakfast will have access to some of the most beautiful and historic locations in the Mississippi Valley, with an idyllic retreat to return to in the afternoons after spending the day exploring Galena and Dubuque. At the accommodation, guests can enjoy gourmet breakfasts in the mornings or delicious home-cooked meals in the evening, with picturesque green lawns to stroll through and a fire pit to gather around at night and roast marshmallows or warm up as the stars come out over the valley.

In Galena, guests can eat out in a restaurant and then peruse the various boutiques and art galleries in town before booking a tour at the Ulysses S. Grant Home, Jo Daviess Historical Society, or Washburne House in the historic center. Glampers can also go horseback riding, book spa sessions, or hike through the woods to nearby Thunderbay Falls.

There are also various distilleries and wineries around town where guests can try local craft brews and wines. Skiers and snowboarders can spend the day on the slopes at Chestnut Mountain Resort near the bed and breakfast as well. Dubuque offers plenty of historic tours and locations to visit too, with more wineries, distilleries, and natural monuments to see in the expansive town on the river. Guests can also take boat tours of the Mississippi River in the summer months, most of which leave directly from Dubuque.
