This lovely two-story log cabin is located in a serene wooded area of southern Illinois near the Shawnee National Forest, and can sleep up to eight guests in total. Among its two stories, there are two double beds, two twin beds, and a queen-size sofa bed. The bathroom has a bathtub, a shower, a sink, and a toilet. Towels and linens are kindly provided.
In the living area, guests will find a comfortable sofa in front of a TV equipped with cable programming, and above a shelf full of board games, so guests have plenty of options for evening entertainment. The fully-equipped kitchen comes with everything needed to prepare home-cooked food, which can be enjoyed at the long wooden dining table.
Outside, there is hammock for relaxing in after a busy day exploring the area. A picnic table provides a great setting for some al fresco dining, and there is a barbecue grill for cooking up some juicy steaks and vegetable skewers. There is an outpost store in an authentic 1850s log cabin that sells locally made artisan items, fair trade products from around the world, and basic supplies.
