Bird/boat watching from the screened in porch is peaceful or guests can enjoy excellent fishing right from the backyard! Avid boaters should bring their vessels to tie up at the getaway (there are four cleats on the sea wall and a public launch five minutes away) and navigate out to Lake Michigan in 15 minutes.

Hikers can head to Dunes State Park 10 minutes away on the shores of Lake Michigan with trails high atop the bluffs and sand dunes. Glampers can also enjoy numerous golf courses close by and Oval Beach - a top-rated large sandy beach with full facilities which feels like the ocean. Downtown Holland is 20 minutes drive, while Grand Rapids is 45 minutes away and Chicago two hours and 15 minutes away.
