Guests can explore the Schoolcraft State Park with all of its trails and lakes. Guests can make the most of being on the banks of the mighty Mississippi River and go boating right from their own doorstep and explore the various lakes close by and accessible by boat. Chippewa National Forest is a 30-minute drive away and has numerous walking and biking trails. There is wildlife throughout the park such as birds and deer. Guests can go fishing and hunting here as well. For a more cultural experience, there are museums such as the Judy Garland Museum, Children's Discovery Museum, Forest History Center, and the Gilbert Mansion. In the winter months, glampers can get involved with cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. In Grand Rapids, there are over 600 trails perfect for snowmobiling.
