Dixon Lake and the surrounding area offer many outdoor activities and wildlife viewing all year round. The fall colors are exceptionally beautiful, and guests can go canoeing or kayaking and take scenic photos and see trumpeter swans. Guests can also go fishing right off the dock or go hunting for grouse, duck, bear, and deer.

The spring and summer are great for birdwatching, biking, hiking, boating, kayaking, canoeing, windsurfing, and swimming. In June and July, there are plenty of berry-picking opportunities at Blueberry Meadows, Lavalier's Berry Patch, and Lunemann's Luney Berries Strawberry Farm.

In the winter, guests can explore the Avenue of Pines Snowmobile Trails, which are considered as some of the best-groomed trails in the Chippewa National Forest. On the property, guests can explore the surrounding trails or just relax by the fireplace in front of the windows facing the lake. To unwind at the end of the day, guests can treat themselves to a massage.
